Just moved to Finland

I`m a man from Sweden that just moved to Finland with my collection of whisky.
Sorry that I wright this in english but I cant speak or wright finish.
I dont know if I´m wrighting this in the right place.
I´m intrested to get in contact with a club or persons that share my hobby.

Hello Johan,

Welcome to Finland, there's less whiskyfans here than in Sweden, but we do have a decent whisky culture budding here these days, and a national society for Whisky enthusiasts, as well as some local / company specific whisky societies. So glad you brought your collection here with you  ;)

May I ask whereabouts in Finland you reside in - personally I am living in the capital region is where most of us whisky hobbyists are located at (although there are some true enthusiasts all over our country here & there).

You may find our "alko" is not quite as well stocked in whisky as your systembolaget, but hey, c'est la vie as the french say. Things are progressing nicely though, and the selection is slowly but surely getting better.

Welcome to the forum and Finland Johan!

I was trying to think is there any information about whisky in Finland in English...not that much I guess :) At lest Legless Scotsman's Whisky bar (rating) page http://www.hallituskatu14.com/finland/whiskyguide might be worth taking a look at.

I'm not sure how is the ordering of whisky by mail from Germany etc. working in Sweden, but at least here it's legality is a bit confusing. Because of that we have seen it wise, just in case, not to discuss about it that much in public, but if you want I can give you more information with private message ( == "yksityisviesti", if you have not yet changed the language of this forum to English).
