Onko kukaan osallistumassa Whisky viikolle syyskuussa? Tuo järjestetään kuudella eri paikkakunnalla Skotlannissa 6-12.9, päätapahtuma on Glasgowssa 12. päivä. Ostin tuossa Whisky Magin irtonumeron ja huomasin tapahtuman lehdestä. Tästä Dublinista kun on helppo ja halpaakin irrottautua niin ajattelin käväistä. Samalla reissulla sitten Edinburghiin kun jäi nuo isoimmat kaupungit kokonaan väliin viime syksyn Skotlannin kierroksella.

Lauantaina yleisen touhun lisäksi voi ostaa lippuja "masterclasseihin" joista lista alla. Ajattelin aikataulun vuoksi osallistua messuille klo 12-16 (toinen vaihtoehto klo 17-21). Ehkä suht noviisina olisi parasta osallistua tuolle MC1:lle mutta kaikkiahan nuo näyttää mielenkiintoisilta!

A wonderful opportunity to compare the complexities of Glenmorangie[ch8217]s maturation. Annabel & Andy will lead you through the exploration of the rich influence of our unique designer barrels to the finesse of rare sherry casks. The outstanding Glenmorangie Signet will be paired with delicious bespoke chocolate and for the finale Andy will bring with him a specially selected sample from the distillery warehouse.

Join Whisky Magazine Editor Rob Allanson and BBC Scotland's Tom Morton as they take a trip round Scotland to make the ultimate blended malt. The session will encompass the five extreme whiskies, the final blend, the songs, stories and saddle sores of this epic motorbike trip.

Eipä jäänyt pelkäksi puheeksi kun varasin samantien lennot. Illasta täytyy ostaa vielä lippu/liput tapahtumaan. Suunnitelman mukaisesti Glasgowiin (jo perjantaina) ja sieltä vielä Edinburghiin, josta sitten paluulento sunnuntaina.

Viime vuonna satuin Glasgown livessä käymään. Silloin 2 päivän ihan mukava kokemus, varsinkin nuo masterclassit, markkinahöpötystä tietysti aikas paljon standeilla. Rob Allanson oli viime vuonna eri teemalla mukana, teki vaikutuksen. Dave Broomiakaan en kyllä helposti ohittaisi. Ihan vinkkinä, että MC-samplet (3-5kpl) + voucher-drinkit+ kaikki ilmaiset pikkusiivut heilahtaa päähän varsin ripeästi aamutuimaan ja tuo luvattu "ruoka" oli melko kepoinen sämpylä. Norskien ratkaisu viime vuonna oli oma tyhjien samplepullojen varasto, josta onneksi riitti allekirjoittaneellekin. Ilman sitä olisi varmaan tullut väsy.

Kiitos tmu kommenteista. Ei olisi tullut mieleen tuo samplepulloasia, hyvä idea! Täytyy haalia pulloja matkaan. Kunnon aamupala vaan alle ja malttia maisteluun  :)

Dave Broom tosiaan kiinnostaisi nähdä in person, mutta kovin on mielenkiintoisia nuo kaikki masterclassit. Todella paha valinta!

Muutama tyhjä samplepullo matkaan ja menoksi! Lähtö siis huomenaamulla. Mitään lippuja ei nyt tullut etukäteen varattua, joten katsotaan tuleeko Masterclassille mentyä vai ei. Noista onkin jo MC2 & MC3 myyty loppuun etukäteen. Kuvia ja rapsaa ensi viikolla.
