EMPLOYEE ANNOUNCEMENT
Michael Heads
We are pleased to announce that Michael Heads has been appointed to the position of Ardbeg Distillery Manager.
Michael was born on Islay and has spent the majority of his working life in the whisky industry. He joined Laphroaig Distillery in 1979 as a Distillery Operator working his way up through the organisation to the position of Brewer, which he held from 1990 to 1999
During his time at Laphroaig Michael had some involvement at Ardbeg as, at that time, Ardbeg Distillery was owned and operated by Allied Distillers.
From 1999 until the present time Michael has held the position of Distillery Manager at the Isle of Jura Distillery owned by Whyte & Mackay Ltd.
We are very pleased that Michael is joining the Company and we look forward to welcoming him to Ardbeg in early March.
